Garner HD-3WXL Hard Drive Degausser

The Garner HD-3WXL is the newest and most innovative product in Garners line of hard drive and tape degaussers. The user friendly input system provides effortless loading of various sized hard drives and tape media without the need for adapters. Once degaussed, the media is automatically released down the exit chute. The HD-3WXL erases all hard drive and tape formats that fit into the 6.75 x 4.5 x 1.7 inch degaussing chamber including large network sized hard drives. Media formats include hard drives, LTO, SuperDLT, DLT, 9940, 3592, AIT and more.

Samsung Hard Drive Erasure Test Using the Garner HD-3W Degausser - Executive Summary

• Samsung collected drives for the purpose of evaluating the magnetic bulk erase capability of Garner Product's HD-3W degausser.
• The drives were split into groups and written with either a high frequency data pattern or low frequency data pattern.
• The drives were shipped to Garner Products and subjected to the magnetic bulk erasure of the HD-3W degausser.
• The same drives were returned to Samsung for tear down and Optical Surface Analysis using magnetic imaging in a controlled laboratory environment.
• All of the drives were completely erased with no evidence of servo or data patterns. Please see before and after images of disk platters on next page.
